One page built to be the last word on your question.
Not a blog post. A long, heavily sourced page where every claim traces back to the real document and carries the date we checked it. The kind of page other people end up citing. Starts at $1,500.
Three finished examples are linked below. Read them before you decide.
An authority blog is one page, usually 1,200 to 1,800 words, built to be the most complete and best-sourced answer available for a single question. Every factual claim gets cited to the original document rather than to another blog, and carries the date we checked it. It gets custom figures instead of stock photos, a short answer block an assistant can quote, and headings written the way people actually ask. It lives on your domain, not ours. It is not calendar filler. It is the page you want everybody else citing.
This is a different product, not a longer one.
Most agency content is a writer summarizing three articles that summarized each other. That market has collapsed, and it deserved to. This is the other end of it.
| Standard blog post | Authority blog | |
|---|---|---|
| What it costs | $200 to $600 | $1,500 and up |
| Length | 800 to 1,200 words | 1,200 to 1,800 words |
| Where the facts come from | Other blogs saying the same thing | The actual spec, statute or study, with the date we checked it |
| Images | Stock photos | Custom figures built for that page |
| What it is for | Filling a content calendar | Being the page other people cite |
| How long it lasts | A few months | Years, as long as it gets re-checked |
What you actually get
- One page, usually 1,200 to 1,800 words, on a single real question
- Every factual claim cited to a primary document, with the date we checked it
- Custom figures and diagrams built for that page, not stock photography
- A short answer block at the top that an assistant can lift and quote
- Headings written the way people actually ask the question
- An FAQ section with schema markup on it
- Internal links pointing at the pages that make you money
- A last-verified date, and a plain note about anything we could not confirm
- A sources list at the bottom with working links
Three you can go read right now
Do not take our word for the quality. Open one, pick a claim, and go check the source we cited. That is exactly what the sources list is for.
How it works
We pick the question
Not a keyword. An actual sentence one of your customers would say out loud. Usually the one you end up answering on the phone five times a week.
We do the source work
This is the part that takes the time. We read the specification, the statute, the study, whatever the real document is, instead of reading three blogs that all copied each other.
We write it and build the figures
Draft, tables, custom diagrams, FAQ, sources list. You get the whole thing in one piece rather than in fragments.
You check it
You know your trade better than we do. If we got something wrong about how your business actually works, this is where it gets fixed. One round of revisions is included.
It goes live on your site
Your domain, your page, your SEO value. We write it, you own it. We link to it from here as a case study if you are happy for us to.
What it costs
One piece
$1,500
A single authority blog, start to finish, with one round of revisions.
Three pieces
$4,000
Three linked pages on one topic so they feed each other. Saves you $500.
Ongoing
$1,250
One piece a month, six-month minimum. Stacks on top of any monthly plan.
Regulated or unusually technical subjects get quoted separately, because the source work takes longer and we would rather say that up front than discover it halfway through. Everything else we charge for is on the pricing page.
Who this is for
We film reels in LA County and Orange County only, because filming means physically showing up. Writing does not work that way, so this is the one thing we do outside the service area.
Local businesses
Roofers, plumbers, HVAC, venues, gyms, shops. You already answer the same question on the phone every week. That question is the page. If we already film your reels, this stacks on top of what you have.
National and ecommerce
Writing does not need anybody to drive anywhere. If your subject has a real document behind it, a specification, a statute, a study, we can do the source work from here and the piece is the same whether you are in Long Beach or Chicago.
What it will not do
- It will not rank next week. Nothing does. This is a page you are still getting found through in two years.
- It cannot fix a site that blocks crawlers or hides everything inside images. If that is your situation, we fix that first and the writing comes after.
- It only works if the claims are true. If we cannot source it, it does not go in, even when the unsourced version sounds better.
- One piece is not a strategy. It is a foundation. The value compounds when there are three or four of them pointing at each other.
Common questions
What is an authority blog?
It is a single page, usually 1,200 to 1,800 words, built to be the most complete and best-sourced answer available for one specific question. Every factual claim is cited to a primary document with the date it was checked, it carries custom figures instead of stock photos, and it is structured so both Google and AI assistants can quote it. It is a different product from a blog post, not just a longer one.
How much does an authority blog cost?
It starts at $1,500 for a single piece. Three linked pieces on one topic are $4,000. If you are already on a monthly plan with us, it is $1,250 a month on a six-month commitment. Regulated or unusually technical subjects get quoted separately, because the source work takes longer.
Why does it cost more than a regular blog post?
Most agency content writing sits in the range of fifteen to sixty cents a word, which buys a writer summarizing other people's articles. This is closer to the research-piece tier. The hours go into reading the original specification or statute, verifying figures against the source they came from, building the diagrams, and writing something that holds up when a reader goes and checks it. Most of the work is the checking, not the typing.
Do you only work with businesses in Los Angeles and Orange County?
For filming, yes. We only shoot reels in LA County and Orange County because we have to physically show up with a camera. Writing does not work that way. We write authority blogs for businesses anywhere in the country, and the research is the same wherever you are.
Whose website does the article go on?
Yours. That is the whole point. The page needs to sit on your domain so the rankings, the traffic and any links all accrue to you rather than to us. We keep a short case study on our site describing the work and linking out to the live piece.
How long does it take?
Two to three weeks for a single piece. Most of that is source work and verification rather than writing. We would rather tell you three weeks and mean it than promise five days and hand you something nobody checked.
Do you use AI to write these?
We use tools for research and drafting the way most writers now do, and we do the source verification by hand against the original document. That is the part that cannot be automated and it is the part you are paying for. Google has said clearly that AI content published at scale without expert oversight does not meet its quality standards, and we agree with that.
Will this get my business named in ChatGPT?
Nobody can promise that. We tested our own business twice on the same day and got two different positions, and both runs are published on our results page. What a well-sourced page does is give an assistant something accurate and quotable to find when it goes looking. That part is controllable. A ranking is not.
What if my industry is boring?
Boring industries are usually the easiest ones to win in, because the existing content is thin and almost nobody has bothered to check anything. Roofing warranties, permit timelines, refrigerant rules, licensing requirements. There is a real document behind all of it and hardly anyone reads it.
Can I read one before I buy?
Three of them are linked on this page and all three are free to read right now. Open one, pick a claim, and go check the source we cited. That is exactly what the sources list at the bottom is for.

Tell us the question you keep answering on the phone.
That is usually the piece. Call and we will work out in ten minutes whether your business has one worth building, or whether your money is better spent somewhere else.
