Everything You Need to Know About Social Media for Your Business

RU4REELZ is a social media reels agency that serves local businesses across Los Angeles County and Orange County. We come to your business every week, film professional reels on location, and post across Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, and Facebook. Below are answers to the most common questions we get from business owners.

About RU4REELZ

We're a reels agency. We come to your business every week, film short-form video content on location, edit everything, write captions, and post across Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, and Facebook. That's it. We don't do ads, we don't build websites, we don't manage your email list. We make reels. We've produced over 800 of them for about 15 businesses across LA and Orange County, and that focus is what makes us good at it.

It means you literally do nothing. We show up with an iPhone and professional mics. We film while you work. We leave, edit everything, write the captions, pick the audio, schedule the posts. You don't download an app, you don't learn editing software, you don't sit there for an hour trying to think of a caption. We've had clients who don't even look at their Instagram. They just know it's getting done because their phone starts ringing more.

We're based in Bellflower and serve businesses across Los Angeles County and Orange County. We're regularly filming in Downey, Long Beach, Whittier, LA, Anaheim, Irvine, Huntington Beach, Costa Mesa, Santa Ana. Basically anywhere in the greater SoCal area. If you're within a reasonable drive, we'll make it work.

Mostly service trades and local businesses. Plumbers, HVAC techs, auto shops, detailers, barbers, restaurants, event venues, contractors, roofers, landscapers, electricians. Basically, if you do hands-on work that people can see, your business is a perfect fit for reels. We've worked across a bunch of industries and the pattern is the same: real work on camera performs.

We actually show up. That's the biggest difference and I can't stress it enough. Most agencies work remotely. They send you a content calendar and say "film this on your phone and send it to us." Or worse, they use stock footage and slap your logo on it. That's not content. That's clip art. We drive to your shop, your job site, your venue. Every week. With an iPhone and professional audio setup. We film your real business doing real work. That's why the content performs. Because it's authentic. People can tell the difference between a real drain cleaning timelapse and a stock video of a wrench. We've built our entire model around being on-site because that's what actually works.

Social Media for Small Business

I've seen it work too many times to say anything else. We helped an event venue called The Fern go from 2 bookings a month to 12. Revenue went from about $3K to $25-30K monthly. That was from reels. Nothing else. No paid ads, no SEO overhaul. Just consistent, high-quality video content. That said, it's not magic. It takes consistency. The businesses that post 5-7 times a week and stick with it for at least 3 months are the ones that see real results. The ones who post for 2 weeks and quit? They're the ones saying social media doesn't work.

It might be the best fit of any industry, honestly. Trade work is visual, satisfying, and builds instant trust. We filmed a drain cleaning timelapse in Downey that hit over 100K views. It was just an iPhone on a tripod pointed at a floor drain. Nothing fancy. But people couldn't stop watching it. When a homeowner sees your team doing quality work on camera, they trust you before they ever call. That trust is the difference between getting the job and losing it to the guy down the street with a better Google ad.

Instagram and TikTok are where we see the best results right now. Instagram Reels have crazy organic reach. Way more than regular posts. TikTok's algorithm is great at showing your content to people in your area. YouTube Shorts is solid too, and Facebook still works for reaching older demographics. We post across all four because why wouldn't you? It's the same reel, slightly optimized for each platform. One piece of content, four chances to get discovered.

Five to seven times a week minimum. I know that sounds like a lot, but here's why. The algorithm rewards consistency. Posting once or twice a week barely moves the needle. The businesses we work with that post daily are the ones whose phones ring. That's actually why most business owners can't do it themselves. Posting 5-7 reels a week while running a business is basically a second job. That's the whole reason we exist.

Referrals are great. I love referrals. But they have a ceiling. Here's what social media does that referrals can't: scale. When you post a reel and 5,000 people see it, that's 5,000 potential customers who just learned your business exists. When one of them shares it with a friend who's looking for exactly what you do, that's a warm lead you never would've gotten from word of mouth. And this is the part nobody thinks about. When someone DOES get a referral for your business, the first thing they do is check your social media. If your last post was 8 months ago, they're second-guessing that referral.

I'm not going to tell you to ditch Google Ads. They work, especially for "I need a plumber right now" searches. But they stop the second you stop paying. Social media content works forever. A reel we filmed 6 months ago is still generating views and leads today. Most of our clients end up cutting their ad budget by 30-50% after a few months because organic leads from social start picking up the slack. The smartest move? Run both. Ads for the immediate calls, reels for the long game.

About Reels & Short-Form Video

Short vertical videos, usually 15 to 90 seconds, that Instagram pushes out to people based on their interests and location. They're the best way to get seen by people who don't follow you yet. Instagram's been pushing Reels hard because they're competing with TikTok, which means the algorithm is basically begging you to post video content right now.

Reach. That's the whole answer. A photo post on a business account with 500 followers might reach 50-100 people. A reel on that same account can reach 500 to 5,000+. The algorithm pushes reels to non-followers. Photos mostly stay within your existing audience. If you're trying to grow and reach new customers, reels are the only format that makes sense. We've tested this across every client we work with. Reels outperform photos every single time. It's not close.

Some of our best-performing content is from plumbing companies and concrete guys. I'm not kidding. A clogged drain going from backed up to flowing clean? People watch that thing 3 times. A concrete pour timelapse? Oddly satisfying. People love watching skilled work. It doesn't matter if it's glamorous. It matters if it's real. The trades content we film performs as well or better than anything coming out of a trendy restaurant or boutique.

Depends on your business, but our go-to formats are: before-and-after reveals, timelapses of the work process, behind-the-scenes shop content, day-in-the-life walkthroughs, quick educational tips, and customer reactions. We mix up the formats every week so the content stays fresh and the algorithm doesn't get bored with the same thing over and over.

Nope. Most of our content is just the work itself. Hands, tools, the transformation. We do think face-to-camera content helps build a personal connection, and we'll always encourage you to try it. But if you hate being on camera, that's totally fine. Some of our most successful clients have never shown their face. The work is the star.

How We Work

We come to your location once a week. Your shop, your job site, your venue, wherever the work is happening that day. We bring an iPhone and professional audio setup. You keep doing your thing. We film for about 30-60 minutes and capture enough footage to create a full week of reels. It's low-disruption. Most clients forget we're even there after the first visit.

Nothing. We bring everything. No special setup or preparation needed. We film your real business in its real environment because that's what performs. Authenticity beats production value on social media every time. People can smell a staged setup from a mile away.

We take the footage and turn it into polished reels. Cuts, transitions, trending audio, text overlays, the works. Then we write captions that are optimized for search (both Google and AI platforms like ChatGPT). We add relevant hashtags, schedule everything across your platforms, and your content goes out on a consistent daily schedule throughout the week. You don't touch anything.

Instagram, TikTok, YouTube Shorts, and Facebook Reels. Our Growth and Scale plans cover all four. We tweak each reel slightly for each platform because what works on TikTok isn't always identical to what works on Instagram. Same core content, optimized delivery.

If you want to, absolutely. We can set up an approval flow where you see everything before it posts. That said, most of our clients switch to auto-posting after the first month. Once you see the quality and trust the process, approving every reel just slows things down. Up to you.

You do. 100%. Every reel, every video file, every caption. If we ever stop working together, you keep all of it. That content is yours. We filmed it at your business, featuring your work. It belongs to you.

Pricing & Plans

$2,000 to $6,500 a month depending on the plan. Starter is $2,000/month for 5 reels a week on 2 platforms. Growth is $4,500/month for 7 reels a week across all platforms. That's the one most people pick. Scale is $6,500/month for 10+ reels a week with two filming visits. Every plan includes weekly filming, editing, captions, and posting. No hidden fees.

Three-month minimum. I'll be honest about why. Social media doesn't work in 2 weeks. You need at least 90 days of consistent posting to build momentum and start seeing real results. After the 3 months, it's month-to-month. You can cancel with 30 days notice. No penalties, no drama. We also give a 10% discount if you commit to 12 months upfront.

Every plan gets: us at your business filming every week, professional editing on all footage, SEO-optimized captions with relevant hashtags, scheduled posting across your platforms, and a monthly analytics report showing your growth. The difference between plans is just volume. How many reels per week and how many platforms.

Growth at $4,500/month. Seven reels a week across all four platforms gives you enough content to post daily and build real momentum. It also includes A/B testing so we can figure out what content performs best for your specific audience. Most businesses see the strongest results at this level.

No free trial, but we do a free strategy call where I'll walk you through exactly what I'd film for your business, what kind of content works in your industry, and what results to expect. It's a real conversation, not a sales pitch. If it doesn't make sense for your business, I'll tell you that too.

Let me do some quick math. If you're a plumber and your average job is $500, you need 4-5 new customers a month from social media to cover the Starter plan. We typically see 3-8 new leads per month by month 3. That's break-even to profitable pretty quickly. If you're a roofer and your average job is $8,000, one single job from social media pays for an entire year of content at the Growth level. One job. We worked with The Fern - an event venue - and helped them go from $3K/month to $25-30K/month in revenue. Their content investment paid for itself many times over. That's not a hypothetical. That's a real client.

Results & Expectations

Engagement picks up in the first 2-3 weeks. You'll notice more profile visits, more followers, more saves and shares. Actual leads like calls, DMs, and walk-ins usually start between 30-60 days. By month 3, most clients are seeing consistent inbound from their content. I'll be real though: social media is a compounding game. Month 1 is foundation. Month 3 is momentum. Month 6 is where it really takes off. The clients who stick with it long-term are the ones who see life-changing results.

It varies by industry and market, but across our clients we've generated over 3.5 million total views, with multiple reels crossing 100K. Most clients see a significant jump in engagement and start generating inbound leads within 60 days. For specifics, we've had a plumbing company hit #1 on Google's video search results from reels alone. We've had an event venue 10x their monthly revenue. We've had auto shop content shared across car communities and generate walk-in customers from people who found them on TikTok. Your results will depend on your industry, your location, and your consistency. We give you monthly reports so you can see exactly what's happening.

This is one of the most underrated benefits of what we do. Every reel we post gets a caption with location and service keywords. "Drain cleaning in Downey CA." "Event venue in Long Beach." Google indexes that content. Over time, your business starts showing up in search results and video carousels for those terms. And it's not just Google anymore. AI platforms like ChatGPT, Perplexity, and Gemini are recommending businesses based on their online presence across multiple platforms. A business posting consistently on Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, and Facebook has 4 touchpoints for AI to discover and recommend. A business with just a website has one.

No, and honestly, run from anyone who does. There are too many variables. Your industry, your competition, your location, your price point. What we guarantee is that professional content goes live on your platforms every single week, on schedule, without you lifting a finger. Consistency is the #1 factor in social media success, and that's the one thing we absolutely deliver. The businesses that post consistently win. We make sure you're one of them.

Social Media by Industry

We've seen it firsthand. One plumbing company we worked with went from zero social presence to ranking #1 on Google's video results for their service area. Just from reels. No paid ads, no SEO tricks. We filmed drain cleanings, water heater installs, repipes. Real work on real jobs. One drain cleaning timelapse we shot hit over 100K views. Plumbing content works because it's oddly satisfying to watch and it builds trust instantly.

Yeah, and it's especially smart during slow seasons. HVAC is seasonal. Everyone wants you when it's 100 degrees or freezing, but what about the rest of the year? Consistent content keeps your name in front of homeowners year-round. So when their AC dies in July, you're the first company they think of because they've been watching your install videos for months. Furnace changeouts, ductwork, unit installs. All of it films well.

Car content is king on social media. It's one of the most popular categories across every platform. We film at SR1 Performance. Their warehouse, car shows, events. That content gets shared in car communities nonstop. Detail transformations, paint correction reveals, build progress videos. This stuff goes viral in the car world and brings people into the shop who would've never found you otherwise. If you're in the auto space and not posting, you're invisible to a massive community that lives on social media.

It's basically mandatory at this point. Most people under 40 find their barber through Instagram. Fade timelapses, transformation reveals, color work. That content books chairs. If your barbershop has a good vibe and skilled barbers, reels are the fastest way to fill every slot on your book. We've seen it work across multiple shops.

Food content is some of the most popular content on the entire internet. Period. A sizzling pan, a close-up of plating, the kitchen energy during a dinner rush. That stuff makes people hungry and makes them want to come eat at YOUR restaurant. We've seen restaurants go from quiet weeknights to packed houses after a few months of consistent posting. The content sells the experience in a way that a menu on a website never will.

Absolutely. And here's the thing most contractors don't realize. Renovation content attracts premium clients. The people scrolling through a kitchen remodel timelapse or a whole-house gut renovation aren't tire kickers. They're serious. Consistent social posting positions you as the quality option, which means better job fit and higher margins.
