Trusted by auto shops across Los Angeles and Orange County

Why Auto Shops Need Social Media in 2026

Car culture lives on social media. Every enthusiast is scrolling Instagram and TikTok looking at builds, details, and shop content. If your shop isn\`t in their feed, you\`re invisible to the exact audience that will spend money with you. The shops that are posting are the ones with waitlists.

It doesn\`t matter if you\`re a full service repair shop, a custom build shop, or a mobile detailer. The content is there. Paint corrections, engine swaps, ceramic coating applications, lift reveals, PDR work. All of it looks incredible on video. We film it, edit it, and make sure the right people see it.

Note from Freddy

Car content has a built-in audience that no other industry gets for free. Detail reveals and paint corrections get shared by people who will never be your customer, and that reach is what puts you in front of the ones who will. Auto is the easiest category I film.

A Clean Car Looks the Same Either Way

Watch on Instagram

Here is the problem with selling detailing. A finished car looks the same whether you spent three hours on it or twelve. The customer cannot see the difference. So a shop with thirty years of skill ends up arguing about price with somebody working out of a bucket.

Video is the only way out of that. Not a before and after, either. Anybody can fake a before and after with bad lighting on one end and a wide angle on the other.

Keith Thompson has been detailing in Downey for over thirty years. Second generation shop. The reel is twenty seconds and it does one thing. It shows what is parked in the bay. A Camaro Z/28. The line on screen is that these are the type of cars their customers trust them with.

That is a better argument than any result shot. When somebody hands you a car like that, they already decided you are careful. Showing what you get trusted with says more than showing what you finished.

Keith is on camera doing the work himself. Not a stock shot, not a hired model. For a shop where the owner's name is on the sign, that matters more than production value.

This is client work, produced for Keith Thompson's Professional Detailing and posted on their account.

South OC Cars and Coffee, San Clemente

Watch on Instagram

SR1 Performance contracted me to cover South OC Cars and Coffee down in San Clemente. It runs Saturday mornings at the Outlets, and the organisers describe it as the largest weekly car show in the world. I brought my kids. That tells you what kind of morning it is.

The reel opens on a row of Corvettes with one line over the top of it. POV, the kids who drew cars in class grew up and parked them here. That is the whole hook. Anybody who filled the margins of a notebook with the same cars knows exactly what that means before the first cut lands.

Owners opened their cars for me, so there is interior footage in there that you do not usually get at a show. I also mic'd people up and asked them about their build. Where it started, what they did to it, what they would change. Nobody needed convincing. Give somebody a microphone and ask about a car they built themselves and the hard part is stopping.

That is the difference between event coverage and a walkthrough of a parking lot. A reel of parked cars is a reel of parked cars. A reel where the owner tells you why the paint is that colour is something people send to a friend.

Frequently Asked Questions: Social Media for Auto Shops

Car content is one of the most popular categories on social media. Detail transformations, build reveals, and paint correction videos routinely get hundreds of thousands of views. Auto shops that post consistently build massive followings and full appointment books.

Plans start at $3,400/month. Our $4,500 Growth plan is the most popular for auto shops. 28 reels a month (7 per week) across all platforms with weekly filming at your shop.

Yes. We meet you at your job location. Mobile detailing actually creates great content because you`re working in driveways and parking lots where the lighting is natural and the settings change every time.

Every car is content. A Honda Civic getting a full detail looks just as good on camera as a Porsche. The transformation is what people watch for, not the badge.
